Trump Supporters Denied ‘Protected Class Status’ Continue Fight

An organization called ‘Rebuilding America Now’ – which contributed over $20 million to the Trump campaign in 2016 – was blocked by the Alabama Supreme Court from receiving protected class status today.

A press release from the Rebuilding America Now Super PAC details their disappointment in a public statement:

“As proud supporters of President Donald Trump, we are a minority group. We make up about 35% of the population and our numbers are dwindling quickly. We are basic people with simple thoughts and a common physical characteristic who deserve legal protection from discrimination. On the basis of this, we fit the definition of a group deserving this protection.”

Alabama Supreme Court Justice Lynn Stewart, who replaced pedophile Ray Moore, read the court’s majority opinion in the 9-0 decision:

“Although the First Amendment allows U.S. citizens to express their personally held beliefs, it is not in place to protect people from any backlash they may face. We have no reason to protect supporters of any president from differing opinions, especially when pushback is rooted in facts or reality. The legal system is not here to educate the unintelligent.”

Rebuilding America Now’s press release concluded by reassuring Trump supporters that they will not stop their legal actions:

“The Supreme Court of Alabama is the highest court in America, so we’ll be taking our fight down another path. Next we will be seeking endangered species protection from the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.”

Once their petition for Endangered Species status is filed, experts will assess the declining Trump supporters. Using information gathered from “many great sources,” they will determine if the group is eligible for protection.

Craig Troutbuck, Director of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service also explained the possible outcomes.

“There’s three things we might see happen,” Troutbuck stated. “One, Trump supporters could be rejected outright. Two, it’s possible that after review they will receive protection. Or three, there might be another clarifying step.”

Troutbuck elaborated on the third possibility.

“Although Trump supporters may not qualify when submitting as a group, there are cases in which requests are resubmitted after breaking down the group into smaller subspecies that show unique variances within the group,” Troutbuck stated.

“Just off the top of my head –┬ásubspecies of Trump supporters would include the loud racist, the misogynistic moron, closeted homophobe and the reclusive xenophobe. So it’s doable.”
