Fans in Section 129 at NFL Game Engage in Reasonable Discourse Regarding Colin Kaepernick

Citing differing opinions regarding Freedom of Speech as found in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, fans in section 129 of the Carolina Panthers vs. San Francisco 49ers game spent the 12-minute halftime respectfully debating the merits of free speech in relation to patriotism.

After the start of the 2nd half, the group delved into the concept of “Black Lives Matter,” an unjust prison-industrial complex, and the unfortunate existence of blatant racism that pervades our society in many, complex ways.

Heading into the 4th quarter, fans in section 129 used a democratic process to select a leader from each side who will be given 6 minutes to further explain their viewpoints. The remaining 3 minutes will be set aside for quiet meditation in which all parties will pause to respectfully and thoughtfully consider the other side’s position.
