The NFL informed reporters today that SoFi Stadium – where the Super Bowl will be played – has been equipped with a huge misting system that will spray the entire stadium with 70% isopropyl alcohol throughout the game. The NFL says the decision to install the mister came when they realized that they wouldn’t be able to enforce a mask mandate.
“There’s no way we could get everyone to wear a mask so we went a completely different route,” a representative from the NFL stated. “The alcohol mist should kill any coronavirus that may be floating around in the air and we’re also providing everyone with N95 masks so that they won’t breathe in too much of the isopropyl alcohol.”
“There isn’t a single location in the stadium that won’t be continuously sprayed,” the representative stated. “So right now we are also taking this moment to tell both teams to prepare for rain-like conditions on the field.”
As of press time the NFL had put out a statement in which they highly recommended that fans wear rain ponchos and swimming goggles to prevent skin and eye irritation.
