With the dairy industry on the decline, Wisconsin farmers have begun selling their excess livestock sperm to frozen yogurt and custard shops across the state. With bull semen being Wisconsin’s number three export, farmers are counting themselves lucky that residents will eat anything.
Chains such as Dairy Queen and Culver’s have already begun using the ingredient as a cost-saving substitute in most of their ice cream products, while several small mom and pop shops are also experimenting with the cow spunk.
Currently there’s no law in Wisconsin banning the sale or consumption of livestock jizz or requiring establishments to disclose that the ingredient is in their food.
